My dream is to represent Great Britain at the Olympics at Rio 2016. I have been Rowing since I was 11 years old and I have loved every minute of it, representing Great Britain since 2006 at European, Under 23 and Junior World Championship Level. Winning this sponsorship would enable me to achieve my aims for this year getting a podium finish at the U23 World Rowing Championships in Lithuania, and to represent at World Universities Regatta.
I’m currently training full time at Agecroft Rowing Club in Manchester. This is an excellent training base; however it is an expensive 40 mile round trip. I’m working to fund my rowing which is tiring alongside a rigorous 6/7 days a week training programme. ‘For Goodness Shakes’ would be an extremely valuable asset to my training and recovery, giving me the correct nutritional fuel to train at the highest level every day.
Last year I rowed at University of London alongside gaining my Degree at UCL in Medicinal Chemistry. During this time I competed at the Australian Youth Olympic Festival winning Gold in the Women’s Quadruple Sculls, also gaining selection twice for the U23 World Rowing Championships. My university recognised my achievements awarding me full University of London Purples, University of London Sportswoman of the Year and the Sir Douglas Logan Award for outstanding contribution to University of London Union Sport.
Wanting to give something back to the grass roots level of the sport, I’m currently coaching at my old high school. I aim to inspire the next generation to get involved in high level sport.
Thanks for taking time to vote for me!
